How To Get Traffic To A Website

How To Get Traffic To A New Website

Let me begin by telling you a little story about my blogging journey. I started blogging just like any other person and in the first year, my main challenge was how to get traffic to my new blog. I tried driving traffic from Facebook but it wasn't long before Facebook banned my URL. I abandoned the blog till when a friend I met online told me the secret I use to run all my blogs today. So if you are interested to know the secret that took my first blog from zero traffic to thousands of traffic today, keep reading

Without wasting your time, the secret my friend taught me was Keyword Research. You might or might not have heard this before but this is the secret to ranking a new blog on a search engine like google.

Keyword Research is a practice search engine optimization professionals use to find and research search terms that users enter into search engines when looking for products, services, or general information. Keywords are related to queries, which are asked by users in search engines.

There are two types of keywords.

Long Tail Keyword and shorttail keywords

Short tail keywords are search phrases with only one or more words. Their length makes them less specific than searches with more words. “Egg” (1 word) is an example of a short tail keyword, whereas “Make scrambled eggs fluffy” (4 words) is a long-tail keyword.

Long-tail keywords are unpopular keyword phrases with low search volume and high variation. In other words, these queries are only searched a few times per month because they are very specific keywords, or because people phrase their queries in many different ways.

Note!

As a beginner and an owner of a new website or blog, the best to go for is long-tail keywords because they will be easier to rank for.( this is exactly my secret).

The reason a beginner cannot rank for short-tail keywords? In most cases, the reason a page doesn't rank is that there's simply too much competition. If you optimize your content for competitive keywords and key phrases, such as [cat behavior], [robot vacuum cleaner], or [real estate agent], chances are high you won't rank for that term. That is why it is advised to go for long-tail keywords

How to find Long tail keywords you can easily rank for and get traffic?

There are many ways around this but the one that worked effectively for me is using a tool called Mangool

Mangools is an SEO toolset that's great for bloggers, affiliate marketers, SMEs, or SEO agencies. It's particularly popular because of its design and ease of use. Key features include keyword research, competitor analysis, backlink analysis, rank tracking, and SERP analysis.

Mangools have everything you need to rank your website to the first page
